Peter Coffee is VP of Strategic Research at Salesforce, where he has spent time with customers and partners to predict what’s next in technology since 2007. Prior to Salesforce, Peter spent 18 years with eWEEK (formerly PC Week), where he reviewed software development tools and methods and wrote columns on emerging technologies and professional community issues. Prior to eWEEK, he held technical and management positions related to desktop computing and the application of various AI techniques. Peter holds an engineering degree from MIT and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He has held teaching appointments in computer science, business analytics, and information systems management at Pepperdine, UCLA, and Chapman College. He enjoys finding opportunities to tell stories and connect the dots around improving developer productivity, superior governance/security, and platform advantages.
